With his extensive experience in negotiations, supplemented by his training and experience as a mediator, Maxime has already developed a strong track record of settling disputes out of court whereby parties achieve satisfactory outcomes.
Maxime is passionate about coaching and advising founders of startups. He is strongly committed to giving back to society by promoting and stimulating all aspects of entrepreneurship.
Maxime holds a Master of Laws from KU Leuven and New York University. After having studied in the US before and being a member of a US bar, he returned to the US for a year in 2013 and completed an LL.M. on Corporate Governance and Practice from Stanford University. During this period in Silicon Valley, Maxime became seriously interested in startups and venture capital, two areas in his daily practice in which he remains active.
Maxime was a practical assistant for a long time at the Jan Ronse Institute for Company and Financial Law at KU Leuven. Nowadays, he gives lectures regularly at training programmes and seminars.
