Lawyer - Senior Associate
Jarien Bloemen focuses on administrative law. When handling administrative law matters, she applies her knowledge of labour law, public procurement law, and civil service law.
Jarien mainly handles matters concerning public contracts, civil service law, and education law. Her knowledge of labour law and particularly the practical applicability of (National Labour Council) collective bargaining agreement no. 32bis enables her to provide essential insight in resolving public contract disputes.
Jarien studied law at Hasselt University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws (with distinction) in 2016. She completed a Master of Laws (with distinction) at KU Leuven in 2018, specializing in labour and social law.
In 2016, Jarien represented Hasselt University and participated in the inter-university Moot Court Competition on Constitutional Law. In 2018, she won first place at the inter-university National Moot Court Competition organized by The European Law Students’ Association.
She has been a member of the Limburg Bar since September 2018 and has also been working at Monard Law since then.
Jarien has been a guest lecturer at the University of Maastricht and Hasselt University since 2020 where she teaches European business law and contract law.
