Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Venture Capital
Erik Monard advises entrepreneurs and CEOs in their strategic decision-making. This can relate to company structures (e.g., agreements with shareholder), transfers of businesses, disputes among shareholders, and other subject matters. He is active in consultancy on “commercial contracts” and assists in judicial proceedings.
He is also a distinguished negotiator and has studied mediation training at BBMC and Harvard.
He writes academic articles regularly, which are published in various legal journals, and is the author of a book on surprise proceedings, a legal action brought by unilateral petition.
Erik was President of the Limburgse Reconversiemaatschappij (2006-2008), which invests in start-ups, businesses, economic projects, and development of industrial sites in Limburg. In this role, he gained practical insight into how companies are managed and how participation interests are governed.
He is a founding member of Monard Law.
