Laura Martens

Laura Martens obtained a Master of Laws (magna cum laude) from the University of Antwerp in 2018. As part of her post-graduate studies, she studied at the University of Montreal for one semester. In 2022, she obtained a Doctor of Laws and PhD in Applied Economic Sciences with her thesis about quality control throughout the legislative process, which was supervised by Professors Dr. Patricia Popelier and Dr. Wim Marneffe.

Laura is a member of the Limburg Bar and has been working at Monard Law since 2022. She focuses mainly on environmental law, energy law, urban planning law, and adminsitrative law. In addition, as a scientific researcher, she is affiliated with the Government & Law research group at the University of Antwerp.
