Marie-Jo Lieten

Marie-Jo Lieten works in the real estate department of Monard Law and advises clients on all aspects of real estate law.
Her expertise lies primarily in drafting and negotiating various real estate-related agreements such as leases, sale agreements, leaseholds, building rights, etc.
She also has extensive experience in assisting with real estate transactions (asset deals, share deals, due diligence, etc.).
Marie-Jo holds a Master’s degree in Law (2020) and a Master’s degree in Taxation (2021) from KU Leuven. She also holds a Master’s degree in Notarial Law (2023, VUB). During her studies, she also spent a semester at the University of Vienna as an Erasmus student.
In addition to Dutch and English, Marie-Jo is also fluent in French, German, and Luxembourgish.
Marie-Jo was admitted to the bar in 2020 and, after gaining experience at another law firm in Brussels, she joined Monard Law in 2025.
