Astrid Caporali

Specializing in individual and collective employment law, Astrid assists Belgian and international clients with a wide variety of labor and social security law issues, such as hiring and firing, company policies and (alternative) compensation & benefits related topics.

She is particularly interested in non-competition issues, national and international restructuring (internal reorganizations, transfers of undertaking, collective dismissals, transfer of assets after bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions), as well as equity-based incentives (stock purchase plans, stock option plans).

Astrid also assists clients with audits or investigations by the labour and social security inspectorates as well as with complex litigation concerning employment law issues before labor courts and tribunals.

Astrid is a member of AIJA (“International Association of Young Lawyers”) and the “Association des Juristes Praticiens du Droit Social/Vereniging van de Praktijkjuristen in Sociaal Recht”, and is a regular speaker at seminars on labor law topics.

Astrid obtained her Master of Laws degree magna cum laude from the Université Catholique de Louvain in 2014. During her studies, she studied for a semester at the University of Ottawa (Canada) as part of the Mercator exchange program. During the 2014-2015 academic year, she completed a L.L.M at the New York University (NYU) (USA) (as a Fulbright scholar).

Astrid joined Monard Law in February 2024. She was admitted to the Brussels Bar in September 2015.
