Charlotte De Muynck has been a lawyer since 2007 and specializes in civil and commercial disputes. Charlotte is active in both court proceedings and mediation and arbitration. She focuses on national and international commercial disputes, contract law, liability disputes (with expert investigation proceedings when necessary), product liability, attachment- and enforcement law.

Charlotte graduated from the University of Ghent in 2006. During her last year of law school, she studied at the Université de Fribourg in Switzerland. In 2007 she obtained an Advanced Master’s degree in General Management from the Vlerick Management School in Leuven.

After her Advanced Master’s Degree, Charlotte was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2007 and worked as a lawyer at the international law firm NautaDutilh in Brussels. In 2020 Charlotte became a member of the Ghent Bar and joined the Ghent office of Monard Law.

Charlotte has been accredited as a mediator by the Federal Mediation Commission since 2012. In 2013 Charlotte completed the Mediation & Negotiations training at Harvard Law School in Boston. Charlotte is a certified mediator and counsel in mediation cases. Since 2014, Charlotte acts as arbitrator in national and international disputes. She is a member of bMediation and of CEPANI.

Since 2015, Charlotte has been lecturing on mediation and negotiation at bMediation and since 2021 at New Deal Academy (https://www.newdeal.academy). These courses are accredited by the Federal Mediation Commission and are addressed to a broad public, irrespective of their professional activities, such as entrepreneurs & managers, company directors, lawyers, lawyers, liberal professions, consultants, real estate agents, engineers, HR managers, psychologists, etc.

Charlotte is a regular speaker at seminars on procedural law, attachment law, mediation and negotiations and also works on publications in these fields.
