Lara Degeest

Lara holds a Master’s degree in law, with a focus on civil and criminal justice, obtained with great distinction from the Catholic University of Louvain in 2023 after studying at the Universidade de Lisboa (University of Lisbon) as part of the Erasmus programme.

During her university studies, Lara had the opportunity to undertake several internships, during which she assisted lawyers in criminal law and international law, subjects she used to write her thesis on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Since September 2024, Lara has been a member of the French-speaking Bar in Brussels. She joined MonardLaw joined by Buyle in the banking and finance department, working alongside Laurent Cloquet, who specializes in international sanctions.

From administrative sanctions to criminal sanctions, there is only one step that Lara has decided to take.
