Monard Law stond Congolese Flag carrier Equatorial Airlines bij met de aankoop en financiering van eerste Boeing B787-8 vliegtuig als lead counsel.

Equatorial Congo Airlines S.A. (“ECAir”), established in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, has purchased its first B787-8 aircraft. The aircraft has been financed by RPK and DVB Bank, both counselled by Vedder Price. Monard Law, through Birgitta Van Itterbeek assisted ECAir as lead counsel in its negotiations with Boeing and the financiers. Monard Law has been assisted by Kaye Scholer, New York, as local New York law counsel. Equatorial Congo Airlines has links with Belgium through its deputy CEO Johan Maertens. TUI Airlines Belgium is currently operating its medium haul fleet. Monard Law has assisted the airline in this transaction as well. The aircraft will be used on the flights between Paris and Brazzaville.”
