CEO
Karen Braeckmans is CEO of Monard Law. Karen holds a Masters degree in Applied Economics. She started her career in 1989 with the management consulting firm Accenture (previous known as Andersen Consulting). In 1999 Karen was admitted to the partnership of Accenture. Karen specialized in assisting government owned companies with their transformation taking into account the liberalization of their market. She helped the Belgian telecom operator Belgacom (now Proximus) and the Belgian Post (BPost) in tackling these changes. As client partner for BPost, Karen created and lead as CEO a joint venture between the Belgian Post and Accenture.
In 2007, Karen left Accenture, to start her own company. She has built and lead this company till 2011. In 2011 Karen joined the Executive committee of the Flemish public broadcasting company (VRT) and actes as their HR and Change director. Together with the CEO, she supported the evolution towards a more digital media platform.
In March 2015, Karen Braeckmans was recruited as CEO of Monard Law. Monard Law is the first Belgian law firm having a non-lawyer heading the law firm.
